It is important to enroll your newborn as soon as possible. Newborn coverage varies from plan to plan and company to company. Therefore, contact your insurance plan or human resources department to see what the enrollment time limit is. You may be asked to provide documentation, i.e. birth certificate or social security number. As mentioned in Fees and Insurance section, plans and coverage vary.  It is your responsibility to know your plans benefits and limits, including well child visits, sick child visits, vaccinations, co-insurance, deductibles, and co-pays.
